The Jerusalem Massacre

Eight young Yeshiva students, some close to Avi's age, were murdered by an Arab terrorist in Jerusalem last Thursday. Nine others were wounded, including another 15-year-old.

I grieve for the murder victims and I pray for the recovery of the wounded and for the families of all the victims.

In Avi's name I made a donation to One Israel Fund.

Saving Avi's Computer

I returned to school last January to get certification in computer information technology.

If only I knew three years ago what I know now! I could have provided Avi with guidance when he ran into problems in building his computer.

If only he knew about CompTIA A+ certification and the textbooks that I'm using: Avi would not have needed any guidance! He would have learned the material as quickly as he had masted php and other Web design technologies.

Avi's computer is in need of repair: either a new power supply or (gulp) a new motherboard. You don't have to understand the technical details to appreciate that I'm determined to keep Avi's computer alive as closely as possible to the way he had built it. That includes keeping the cutesy tower case that he purchased.

Avi and I would have had so much more to talk about regarding computers...
