Avi died 2/23/2006 at age 15. ("Zichron" is the Hebrew word for "memorial to" or "remembrance of.")

Avi was a terrific member of the online community, and a great friend of mine. I miss him dearly. I was talking with kaok when he had first found out about what had happened, and I could not believe such a terrible thing had happened to such a nice young man.
I wish you all the luck, you are not alone in this! He will be missed dearly by MANY people, and the memory of him will live on.
when i first met avi i must have been in 5th grade. i was meeting all of my friend's west hartford friends from her school. the thing i really noticed about Avi was his eyes, and how when he smiled his whole face along with his mouth and eyes seemed to smile.
when i came to visit hhne this year, exactly one week before Avi passed away, the first thing I noticed about Avi was that his smile and the way his entire face just lit up the room when he smiled, did not change, and it was so comforting to see how just a small thing like that could stay the same while so much else was changing. And it made me so happy everytime he smiled. i miss him and wish i had gotten the chance to know him better.
